Water Leak
There are a number of reasons why there may be a leak or water issue in your home. This can be due to leaking fixtures, blocked drains or burst pipes.
The first thing to do when experiencing a water leak is to try and identify the source. Whether this may be a leaking faucet in the bathroom or a burst pipe in the bathroom, it is important to know where the cause of the leak is. If you cannot locate a source, call your landlord or letting agent ASAP.
Turn off the main water valve. This is usually located around the perimeter of your home where the water supply enters your home. Contact your letting agent/landlord if you are having trouble locating this.
Open up a faucet somewhere, like a first-floor bathroom sink, to drain all the water out of the plumbing system. If the problem is related to the water mains or the communication pipes, then you will need to contact your water supplier.
If you run into an issue with no running water at all, firstly contact your regional water supplier to check if there are any disruptions or maintenance work. If there are no issues regionally, get in contact with us.
